Cousins

Nick's brother came up to our house today for some homework help and brought his puppy, Dash.  Chino and Dash had a fun afternoon, chasing each other around the couch and wrestling.  Dash also got a taste of Chino's famous toy box, the result of a psycho dog mom, plus a "grammy, grampie and aunt" who love him to pieces.  Of course, of the more than 10 bones laying around the house and piled in the toybox, they just so happened to want the same one; "the one" being whichever the other had at any particular moment.

Nerdy husbands...

...get really excited when your former boss cleans out her office and locates a white elephant gift from two years ago and it turns out to be a light up ant farm and then gives it to you to take home to your nerdy husband.

Unassuming piece of ugly furniture

Yes, this is an ugly recliner.  We inherited it from my grandma after she passed away.  It was in Nick's apartment before we moved in together before it landed in our apartment and then eventually, our house.  Its seen better days, it's worn out and I think that we should offer a reward to whoever is sitting in it when the arm falls off.  Why is it on my blog?  Well, as part of Project 365, I'm trying to capture notable moments from my days and this played a part today.

I came home from work and let Chino out to do his thing.  After he came back in, I went to the bathroom to do my own thing.  While I was in there, I heard him crying.  I called him, but *surprise* *surprise* he didn't come.  When I came out, I saw him sitting by his toy box(es).  This normally means that something is stuck or that there's a bone that he can't reach.  I looked, but didn't see anything, so I did the next logical thing, I asked him what was wrong.  When I asked him, he circled around to the front of the chair and looked down.  When I lifted the chair, I saw a treat that had made its way under there that morning.  Chino stepped forward and ate it before going about his normal post-work routine.  When Nick got home, I told him that I thought Chino was trying to tell me that "Timmy fell down the well", but that it turned out to be "hey lady, how about you pay attention to where you throw those treats.  K? Thanks."

Where's Waldo?

Logging in to Chino's playcam, made all of my dreams come true.  When you locate him in this photo, you'll see why.

Multi-tasking

Sugar Bowl was on tonight, so was my work computer.  Better me than Nick though, so I guess its OK.  I did get to watch Hoarders before the game, so my night wasn't a total loss.

Power tool

Real men use Kitchen-aid mixers to make 8 layer casseroles and then squat down and let their wives take a photo of them in the reflection.

A Moment

This wasn't the reason that I brought the camera outside.  Its the reason I'm so happy that I did.
